Not many know of Dracula in the world of Sornieth, often being overlooked in favour of his counterparts. This reputation or lack of one is very much to the liking of the Noble Spymaster. Having come from a ruthless clan in the seedscar, he had learnt from a very young age that knowledge was power. As he grew, his more obscure heritage started to show itself in his need for blood, but thankfully being a Pure Vampire, he held off long enough to get to the Academy of the 6 Crests. There his sly personality quickly gained the notice of the Blood Envoy, someone cut from very much the same cloth. He flourished quickly under the patient claw of his teacher, creating a spy network reaching the far and wide corners of Sornieth. He became the eyes and ears of the 6 Crests and essentially the king of the shadows, yet no one knows that to be the case. Hence only amongst the 6 Crests does one hear the title Noble Spymaster, and only with fondness.

On the trip from the Seedscar to the Emperor’s wake, Dracula came upon a cave from which he could smell an intense smell of blood. His urges, which he had yet to completely control, led him into the cave quite recklessly. In the cave, he came upon a group of cursed bats and a veritable feast. The bats were then far too busy to notice a young vampire sneaking in, and even joining them in their feast. He was gone before they realised anything. The next day he came back with a peace offering to be able to observe them. He notices one runic bat among them, an anomaly considering their distant natural habitat. Over the following days, he repeated such actions building a rapport with the group, especially the runic bat, who also happened to be the leader of the group. So much so that the cursed bats began to cling to the inside of his coat when he left, while the runic bat flew beside him. Thus arose his favourite trick of ‘disappearing’ into a cloud of bats, like his namesake.
