KYRJA CHILD OF PLAGUE FIERCE | PRAGMATIC | CUNNING ╰ automated bio template by squidragon |
╭
In the Scarred Wastelands, tracing your heritage to those of the Bone Castle is a badge of honor, an indication of how well-bred and well-trained the dragon in question is. Valkyrie, more commonly called Kyrja, is no exception to this rule, a prime example of what the dragons of the Scarred Wasteland can be. She's the largest of her family by far, both by blood and by adoption, and cuts an imposing figure with her thick pelts and grim armor. She walks with the weight of a dragon self-assured in their own power and confident in their skill and abilities. Kyrja could be a clan leader, a grand tactician, a powerful warrior--she has a world of possibilities open to her, and she chooses not to follow any. She's content in her position among the Pack her adopted mother leads, choosing instead to remain as an apprentice houndmaster and guardian for her more impulsive and chaotic twin. She seems content in her relative insignificance--many have tried before to coax her to serving them, clan leaders from every region of Sornieth have sent letters requesting her, having heard of Kyrja's training and her skills, and she has turned down every single one of them. Growing up among the corpses of the dead has made Kyrja a somber individual. Each dead body was a reminder--if you weren't clever enough, strong enough, skilled enough, your body would be coming home and rest eternal in the blistering sun. She took to her studies intently, training in combat and learning tactics, history, anything she could get her paws on. Her one failing was in magic--the art of magic in any shape or form was lost to her and she could never conjure more than the most basic of spells. For other dragons, this would be a devastating blow. For Kyrja, she simply accepted this and became better at other things, compensating for her lack of magic with sheer wit and talent. She left the Bone Castle when one of the Queen's daughters came and requested for the young imperial to follow her. Kyrja listened to the words of Dionea, recognizing the Queen's daughter as a greater authority, and when Dionea placed her among Mellori's Pack, Kyrja accepted this willingly. To Dionea, it was a perfect move--her enemies among what was once known as Saeva Renatus would lose access to a capable and skilled tactician, and Dionea would be able to maintain her grasp on the Bone Castle prodigy until she was ready. Unfortunately for Dionea, Kyrja bonded with the Pack and threw her loyalty in with them as opposed to sticking with the Bone Castle lineage and Dionea. When Dionea came asking for Kyrja to join her, the imperial shook her head no and stood with the Pack, daring Dionea to try and convince her otherwise. The skydancer admitted defeat and retreated, plotting how to sway Kyrja all the way up to Dionea's demise. These days, Kyrja remains as a loyal member of the Pack alongside her twin and mother, and she seems to be unswayed in her idea of never leaving them.
