LORE - Almond likes to tell the story of how he wished Hawthorn into existence from the roots of the biggest tree on the Windswept Plateau. They both know that the tree was average sized at best and that Almond is entirely incapable of purposely directing the strange magics that leak from him consistently. Hawthorn barely even remembers being a tree at this point. Just the strongest compulsion to PROTECT PROTECT PROTECT as she curled tighter around the tiniest dragon she'd ever seen. Neither of them know if that was Almond's doing or just natural guardian instincts, and quite frankly Hawthorn does not really want to find out either way. Nowadays, Hawthorn serves as the official leader of the Garden Almond created. She's quite protective of the Faeries that make their homes here, and even keeps a personal list of Garden-born Faeries that have gone off to serve the Windsinger. Every so often, she'll request that Polyantha visit exalted Faeries to check up on them. |
