Oceana was born in the waters off the Viridian Labyrinth, where she spent most of her hatchling days splashing in the rivers and lakes, learning all about every kind of life form she came across. When she got old enough, she set off with her brother to travel Sornieth together.

Together they roamed the world, discovering its good, its bad, its beautiful and its ugly. Eventually, though, Oceana got tired of wandering. She wanted to find a permanent place to call home, somewhere where her services are needed. She stopped in the resting place here and, sure enough, someone with good social skills was needed to manage the hospitality aspect of the inn, because with the Tidelord gone the current owner, who used to do all that herself, is no longer in the mental position to be doing such a task herself. Oceana gladly took up that offer while her brother left for greener pastures, and the rest is history!

Being a dragon of the water, combined with the knowledge of nature, she has turned her very body into a living garden of sorts, succulents for spines, mushrooms on her shoulders and rosen wings. Each of the plants she grows is a sort of memento from all her travels; mushrooms from the Tangled Wood, succulents from the Shifting Expanse, ect ect. Votano once asked her if she could grow some medicinal herbs on herself, as he wanted to test if the alchemical property of the plant would change, given it's odd location, but she declined on the basis that there would be no story attached to the plant, and she doesn't want to modify her body more if it has no meaning.

The majority of the flowers on her are forget-me-nots, all grown in different regions of Sornieth.

Oceana is a very sweet and sentimental soul, the kind you'd think would always be baking cookies for visitors and drinking tea while watching the ocean.
Sadly she is not that good at cooking or baking, but she does enjoy a nice herbal tea, with plenty of sugar in it of course! She loves taking care of people, especially Sunder who just tugs at her heartstrings.
Unfortunately, with how much she cares for others, she can come off as a bit strict and demanding, but it's only for the best, but even the bestest intentions can come off as hostile to the right person. This has been remarked as odd, considering how much of a free spirited life she used to live, but everyone has their contradictions, and Oceana is no different it seems.
