» Zand was wandering alone looking for a charge before he met Pilea. Both tired, lonely, and seeking the warmth of another dragon they agreed to travel together, at least for a while. It wasn't long before they were fast friends, sharing grand future plans under starlight. At first Zand mistook the pull in his chest to be the call of his charge, but time would prove him wrong. No, the poor guardian was falling in love with the spritely fae and he set about a way to remain in her life forever. It took some time to convince her the value of a tavern hall, but she warmed up when he promised her a massive garden space. Through the help of several more wayward dragons they built The Guild - a tavern, inn, crafthall, meeting place, and home for a bevy of dragonkind.

» Zand had a head for delegation. He was smart and cunning, but he used it to help his clan, not deceive them. Before the Council of Seven was formed Zand carried the weight of the guild on his shoulders alone, anything to keep Pilea from falling apart after the loss of their clutch. It was while he was settling a debate between several guild members that he felt a great pull from his chest, overcome with a sense of fulfillment - his charge. It was in that moment that he knew his place in the world was to protect the members of his guild, whether it be from each other in the tavern hall, or from outside forces threatening to harm the fabric of his home and clan.

» After discovering his charge, Zand went about forming the Council of Seven from the strongest dragons he knew; Lightcycle - decisive | Rippcurl - courage | Griffon - firm | Mossflower - kindness | Mariana - unbiased. The last two positions were ceremoniously held by himself and Pilea - only to be utilized in moments of emergency. Though he still retains his title of Patriarch, he now shares his duties with Lightcycle, allowing him the freedom to check up on all members of his clan.
» In the odd hours when he relaxes, Zand likes to visit with Isadora and Agon who tend to the clan hatchlings before they go off on their own adventures, and with Midway and Lo'ihi, the sweetest pair within the guild. Zand may look fierce and grouchy but he truly is a giant soft hearted romantic. Over the years he's had a few clutches but there hasn't been a dragon to match him just yet. Hopefully one day that will change. And if he's not buried under small dragons you'll probably find him sneaking off to look for sunken treasures - it's his one indulgent vice.

» Whenever Zand leaves hall, he is always accompanied by one of his three familiars - a chimera who follows on land, and a pair of thresher sharks who flank him in the deep waters. They have no names but respond to unique sounds. 		361.png
