ABOUT - » How does a large Imperial like him hunt effectively? At night? Who knows but he does it. This is essentially how he met his mate, though in a less than graceful way. » Despite the pair's less than graceful introductions, Yuanfen still ended up in Kogarashi's claws after being charmed by his prowess and goofy nature. » To others, Yuanfen is aloof and doesn't listen to authority well. Defiant you might could say. This is dangerous for him given his beastly size and aptitude for the hunt, Kogarashi keeps him in line thankfully. He can't have his mate causing trouble because he feels like it. » This is something that the Imperial has tried working on with the help of Shikra and Yoire, being a few of the most calm and collected individuals within the clan. Berry can also be seen as a help of sorts, though Yuanfen mostly just enjoys her company. |

Yuanfen sighed happily. He finally had a home. A place he belonged and he was determined to prove to this clan that he deserved the kindness they had treated him with. He was heading to the court to meet with the leader, daydreaming as usual.
Suddenly, his chest collided with something and he staggered back. It took him a moment to orient himself, but when he did, he saw a young Skydancer lying on the ground a few feet away. The dragon huffed in annoyance as it stood up.
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Yuanfen barely managed. “Are you alright?”
When the young male stood up, Yuan was entranced. This Skydancer was without a doubt someone who had the ability to model apparel in the Tangled Wood. He was so handsome and reminded him of home.. His eyes were the brightest green and his build was slim and athletic.. Yuan couldn’t help but stare with infatuation at the other.
The Skydancer glare, “I’m fine. Now, if you’ll kindly get out of my way-?”
Yuanfen swallowed nervously and stepped aside, “O-Okay.”
He watched the Skydancer saunter away, his heart pounding. He smiled a tiny bit, then continued to the court to receive his orders.
“Alright, Kogarashi and Yuanfen. New assignments,” the leader announced. “Yuanfen will be a hunter of the night from now on with you, Kogarashi. Partners in crime, if you will. Dismissed.”
The Imperial grinned. He hadn’t dreamed that he could be a hunter of the night, and more importantly, he hadn’t dreamed of doing it with that handsome Skydancer. What was his name? Kogarashi? He almost couldn’t believe this was happening.
Kogarashi, however, did not seem so impressed. He merely shrugged his shoulders and turned away as he went to get ready for the first night on the job with the new Imperial.
When they met up again, Yuan was ready to hunt. Kogarashi looked more so. He didn’t really acknowledge the novice, and Yuan felt bad, getting the feeling that this Skydancer was not a fan of him so far. He dreaded that being the case.
The first travel was a small group, and there seemed to be no good prey to be found. No one spoke a word, for fear of scaring off good meat. Yuanfen suddenly caught the distinct odor of a deer of some kind nearby.
He stuck his nose to the ground and began tracking. While his Skydancer infatuation rolled his eyes and went a completely separate way, obviously ignoring Yuanfen. The novice was too preoccupied with the trail to notice and after a few more steps, there it was. The prey. The Golden Ticket.
Yuan waited a split moment before pouncing. With his talons, he brought the deer-like creature down and pinned it. He whipped out a small dagger and cut its throat quickly, the kill was complete. The other more seasoned hunters in the group gathered around him.
“Congratulations,” they began to slap his back, ruffle his mane, and give soft cheers. Yuanfen didn’t care. He was looking around for Kogarashi.
They packed up the food and continued on their way. Without getting very far, a certain, dark dragon appeared out of the shadowy brush. He was not smiling and he merely watched Yuanfen with a blank gaze. When he spoke, Yuan gasped softly.
“You did well. It was a clean kill,” he said. “My name is Kogarashi, but friends, and you, may call me Koga. We have not officially met.”
“We… haven’t?” Yuanfen questioned.
“Not in the way that matters, Yuanfen.”
Yuan winced at his name, but not in a bad way. “Well… I guess we’ve met now.”
Koga smirked, and the look made Yuan melt all over again. “I’m glad for that.”
Abruptly, Yuan was met by a sudden current of frigid wind coming from the shadows behind the Skydancer. Kogarashi merely smiled, straightening up as the sharp, freezing gust flushed Yuan in the face and down his neck, causing a shudder to ride up his spine.
